I’m a mid-40s Mom, wife, and business owner. Something strange happened to me over the past few years. I became addicted to running. It started out innocently enough. A few miles here and there on the dreadmill and the local Y. Then, a good friend encouraged me to sign up for a race. Who me? Why would I do that? I’m not a real runner. This good friend of mine said she would sign up for a race with me. She got injured I was too proud to back out, and as they say, the rest is history. I now consider myself a runner and have completed 12 official races. I’ve done 5ks, 10ks, and 2 half marathons. Enter into my life, Kristi G – she’s the one bloggin’ with me. You can read all about how we came to be in “About Us.” Next thing you know, I’m signing up to run a Marathon. Who me? I’m not a real runner. Apparently, I cannot deny it any longer. I am a runner who is training for her first Marathon and dabbling in swimming and biking. Yikes, might there be a tri in my future? Who knows. What I do know is that I’m having the time of my life, running my legs all over my hometown, learning about myself and training for my FIRST EVER MARATHON!
